I have been on the net since the days of dial-up. Being a geeky type, I always indulged in online games and creating websites from back when I was in high school. I created my first websites for my Quake 2 clan in ‘97 and I felt pretty great about it at that time.
Fast forward to 2003, I graduate from university with a degree in Computer Eng. and landed my first programming job. Around the same time, I stumbled upon some guy’s blog about making money online. First I didn’t believe it, then I read more and more blogs and stories of people admitting of making money while sleeping. Great concept but is it real?
Coincidentally, My first job was with an online advertising network and that’s where I discovered about online affiliate marketing.
I started digging more and more about this affiliate marketing stuff and came to know about super affiliates like Chad Frederiksen of http://cdfnetworks.com and Amit Mehta from http://superaffiliatemindset.com/ making big money online. I decided I wanted to pursue this. When I started, I struggled like everybody else. There is too much info on the net. I was just lost – information overload. I started few sites, did some SEO, made some $100-$200/mo for a while, then started doing PPC. I lost money in PPC advertising but I kept on going.
Just recently with the help of some nice people online things have turned around for me and my affiliate business has taken off. Sometimes with a little help of others and hard work this, you can achieve those daunting goals. Now I do PPC affiliate marketing part-time and generating over $500/day.
